Glenmuir High created local high school football history on Friday after they became the first high school team to advance on the away goal rule as they qualified for the quarterfinals of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup after a 0-0 draw with St Mary Technical in their return keg game played at Juici Field in Clarendon.

Glenmuir High had earned an away goal in the first leg game played on Wednesday at Highgate and ended in a 1-1 draw.

The away way rule was only introduced in the ISSA competition last year when the second round was changed from the inter-zone format to a home and away knock out.

Meanwhile, Clarendon College is also through to the quarterfinals after beating ten men Green Island 5-0 on Friday for a 10-0 aggregate.

Nique Daley scored another double for Clarendon College who led 1-0 at halftime.

Lamar Walker gave them the lead in stoppage time in the first half before Roderick Granville made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute.

Daley got his first in the 55th minute to make the score 3-0 while Earle Simpson added a fourth in the 64th minute and Daley finished off his brace in the 73rd minute.

Geovanni Watson was sent off in the 86th minute as Green Island High finished the game and their season with ten players on the field.
