Just missing the cross bar, Cornwall College on the attack

The final four in the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup is set! Three former champions and a newcomer will line up on November 13th to try and book a spot in the November 30th finale after booking their spots on Tuesday as they quarter-finals came to a dramatic end.

Defending champions Clarendon College and Dinthill Technical beat Anchovy High and Frome Technical respectively as they completed perfect records of three wins in the quarter-finals.

Record holders Cornwall College, with some help from Garvey Maceo, won Group 2, on goal-difference over the ‘Cubans’ while McGrath continued their great season by winning Group 4 despite a loss to STETHS on Tuesday.

Clarendon College hammered Anchovy High 7-0 as they have now scored 17 goals in the quarter-finals to top Group 1 while Dinthill continues to make the most of their second chance, beating Frome Technical 2-1 to win Group 3.

In the semi-finals- Clarendon will match up with McGrath in one game while Cornwall College and Dinthill will meet in the other.

With half the large crowd at Jarrett Park glued to their radios keeping track of the game in Mandeville, Brandon Curate scored his first hat-trick, including two penalties as Cornwall College blanked Maggotty High 3-0 and topped Group two on goal-difference as Garvey Maceo came from behind twice to beat Manchester High 3-2 with 14-year-old Cleo Clarke scoring the winner, late in the game.

Sheldon Smart also got a hat-trick for Clarendon College in their big win while Karim Bryan scored both goals for Dinthill as they topped Frome Technical.
