Former champions Clarendon College and Garvey Maceo are the only two schools left in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition with perfect win records after defending champions Rusea's High and Cornwall College dropped points in Saturday's games.

Clarendon edged Edwin Allen High 1-0 to run their streak to six straight wins in Zone H while Garvey Maceo High made it nine straight with a 3-0 win over Bellefield High in Zone M.

Both teams have secured their places in the second round, Garvey Maceo already winning Zone M while Clarendon College is a point away from taking Zone H honours.

Meanwhile, Rusea's High and Cornwall College the last two winners of the competition had their winning streaks snapped at eight after they were both held to 1-1 score lines by Frome Technical and St James High respectively.

Rusea's High gave up a 1-0 lead and had to settle for a draw at the Frome Sports Grounds but did enough to secure Zone B honours with 25 points.

Cornwall College who had locked up zone honours on Wednesday had to come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with St James high in Zone A.

Colin Haughton gave St James the lead on the stroke of, but Aiden Jokomba scored his 10th goal of the season and in his fourth straight game, late in the game to salvage a point for Cornwall College.

Dinthill Technical and Charlemont High, both already securing the automatic spots from Zone K, played out a second straight 2-2 draw to stay locked on 20 points.

Dinthill Technical who finished the game with ten players has a much better goal-differential and came from behind to lead before holding on for a point.

Rashaun Brown gave Charlemont the lead but Rasheede Parkinson equalised then gave Dinthill Technical the lead before Clive Wedderburn who had earlier missed a penalty kick, salvaged a point for Charlemont High.
