MONTEGO BAY, St James — For the second year running, Black River High handed Munro College their first defeat of the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboy football season after coming from behind to win 2-1 in Black River yesterday.

St James High were also upsetters, beating Cornwall College for the second year running at the Montego Bay Sports Complex to spoil the 11-time champions' Homecomings celebrations with a 1-0 win.

Eleven schools scored back-to-back wins in a full schedule of matches.

At Black River, the home team trailed at half-time, thanks to a goal from Shawnavon deSouza, who scored in his second straight game.

Kimani Johnson equalised for Black River before Garth Banton volleyed home the winner with a left-footer from 25 yards.

In Montego Bay, St James capitalised on a wasteful Cornwall who missed at least three first-half chances. Romario Clarke scored the winner in the 87th minute to thwart Cornwall's Homecoming Saturday.

Delroy Miller followed up his hat-trick last week to score one of Manchester High's two goals in their 2-1 win over Cross Keys High. Kevon Isaacs scored the other for Manchester.

With both Rusea's High and Green Island out of action, Frome Technical raced to the top of Zone B with a 3-2 win over Herbert Morrison in Montego Bay.

Tevin Miller, who was scoring in his second straight game, Kenardo Cooper and Odean Davis were on target for Frome, who move to six points.

Muschett High scored back-to-back wins in Zone C, edging newcomers Holland, 2-1, while Spot Valley opened their account with a 2-0 win over Hopewell at home.

In Zone M, former champions Glenmuir High and Garvey Maceo scored consecutive wins. Glenmuir edged Bustamante High, 1-0, to end the latter's winning start, while Garvey Maceo outscored Porus, 3-2, and Denbigh edged Fogo Road, 1-0.

Spalding beat Holmwood Technical, 2-0, to assume the lead in Zone G on six points, while Lennon High were 2-0 winners over Thompson Town to take the lead in Zone H, both on six points.

Brown's Town made it two in a row in Zone I by beating Albert Town, 3-0, while Marcus Garvey rebounded from their opening defeat to beat Ocho Rios, 3-0, as Cedric Titus beat York Castle, 3-1.

Iona were 3-0 winners over Islington to take the lead in Zone J, while Dinthill Technical extended their streak with a 3-2 win over Charlemont in Zone K. Bog Walk beat McGrath 3-1.
