Cornwall College vs Green Pond game action

Green Pond High maintained their hold on the lead in Zone A of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup after coming from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Cornwall College, snapping a 13 games losing skid against the former Champions.

Fifteen year-old Kamali Powell had given Cornwall College the lead in the first half but Green Pond who last advanced past the first round in 2014, clawed their way back and drew level in the second half with a goal from Kevon Lewis.

Both are on four points from two games followed by St James High who edged Irwin High 1-0 and Anchovy High whose game against Maldon was washed out at half time with the scores tied at 1-1.

Meanwhile at the Frome Sports Club, Giovanni Mitto scored in successive games for Frome Technical to beat Green Island 1-0 and soar to the top of the points tables in Zone B.

Hopewell High rebounded from their loss to Frome on Monday to outscore Merlene Ottey 3-2.
