Favorites Clarendon College and Dinthill Technical will meet in the semi-finals of the ISSA/Wata DaCosta Cup for the second straight year after they topped their respective quarterfinal groups on Tuesday.

All four teams leading their groups going into Tuesday's final round of matches, all obliged by advancing to the November 15th semi-finals, with Frome having to depend on a second tiebreaker after losing to Mile Gully and both schools ending up with six points and a goal difference of two as well.

In the other semi-final, Frome Technical will battle Cornwall College in a western derby with the winners meeting in the final set for December 1st.

With the other three teams all winning their games, including a, come from behind 3-1 victory for Clarendon College over St James High, and going through, it was up to Frome to create the drama on the last day.

Mile Gully High who pulled off the biggest upset of the season when they knocked out defending champions Rusea's High in the second round, saw their luck run out in the dying minutes of the game played at Manchester High as despite winning their quarterfinal game 2-1, they failed to make it to the top four.

With the teams tied up on six points in Group and one a goal-difference of two goals, Frome Technical got the edge with their five goals in their three games to Mile Gully's four.

Mile Gully who had beaten Maggotty High on Friday, needed to beat Frome Technical by two goals to win the group, led 2-0 late with two goals from Marlon Miller and appeared well on their way.

A penalty kick was awarded to Frome Technical after it was ruled that a Mile Gully defender had handled the ball in his box and Giovauni Mittoo stepped up and buried the kick to get his team back into the semi-finals.

Clarendon College came from a goal down to beat St James High 3-1 to extend their perfect win record to 13 straight.

Duran Panton, Antonio Reid and Nique Daley scored in the second half to help Clarendon College ease through to the semi-finals.

Dinthill Technical edged Lennon High 2-1 to win Group 3 with goals from Martin Beech and Oneil Smart while at Jarrett Park, a first-half goal from Solano Birch was enough for Cornwall College to edge out of contention Glenmuir High 1-0 to win Group 4.
