Cornwall College vs Green Pond High second round action

Defending champions Rusea's High and former winners Frome Technical, Cornwall College and Clarendon College all scored big wins on Saturday and continued their impressive runs in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup competition.

Rusea's High, Cornwall College, Clarendon College and Garvey Maceo extended their perfect win records as well.

Javoy Diaz scored a hat trick, and Raheem Graham added two more as Rusea's High crushed Cambridge High 8-0 in Zone B as the champions won their seventh straight game.

Frome Technical were also 8-0 winners in Zone B, spanking Hopewell High to stay in second place as Giovauni Mittoo scored twice to take his goalscoring tally to 11.

After being held goal-less in the first half, Cornwall College scored seven goals in the second half against Irwin High for their seventh straight win in Zone A.

Aiden Jokomba who scored ten goals in all of last season, got a quick fire hat trick to lead the way as Cornwall leads by eight points over second-placed St James High 21-13.

Nique Daley also scored four goals to lead Clarendon College to a 6-0 win over second-placed Lennon High in Zone H as Thompson Town beat Edwin Allen 3-1.

Clarendon College extended their perfect win record to five games and are on 15 points in Zone H.

Tyreke Henry scored the lone goal of the game as Garvey Maceo High edged Glenmuir High 1-0, beating them for the second time this season and opened up an eight points lead at the top of Zone M.
