Herbert Morrison vs Spot Valley action

Three schools Spot Valley High in Zone C, as well as Ocho Rios High and Browns Town, maintained their winning starts in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after with wins on Thursday.

Travoy Vassell scored for Spot Valley as they sent Herbert Morrison Technical tumbling to consecutive 0-1 losses to start the season as the winners took early control of the zone, leading with six points, two more than William Knibb Memorial and Muschett High.

William Knibb Memorial blanked neighbors Holland High 2-0 while Muschett High were 1-0 winners over Cedric Titus after both drew 1-1 in their opening game.

 

Ocho Rios and Browns Town stayed locked at the top of Zone I on six points; Ocho Rios edged Marcus Garvey 1-0, and Browns Town beat Oracabessa 2-0.

York Castle rebounded from their loss to Browns Town on Saturday with a 6-0 hammering of Iona High.

Ruel Miller scored a brace as Petersfield opened their campaign with an 8-0 thrashing of newcomers Belmont Academy at Sandals South Coast field while Little London clipped Mannings School 1-0, both in Zone D.

St Mary High were the only winners in Zone J clipping Carron Hall 10 while games between Brimmervale High and Guys Hill and Tacky High and St Mary Technical both ended in 0-0 draws.
