Winston Jones High was brought back to earth in the ISSA/Wata daCosta Cup football competition after they were thrashed 5-0 by former champions Glenmuir High in their Zone M game at Winston Jones in Clarendon.

The minnows were flying high after their 3-0 win over Cross Keys High on Saturday, their first ever win in the competition and Wednesday they went into the game tied on points with Glenmuir but were quickly reminded of their status as they allowed five goals and fell to fourth place in the group.

Glenmuir meanwhile took over the lad on goal-difference from Garvey Maceo who edged Bellefield High 1-0, both winners on six points each. Port Antonio High got the better of Fair Prospect in their top of the tables clash in Zone L, winning 2-1 and were joined at the top by Titchfield High who beat Horace Clarke 3-0 with all three goals coming from Raheem Bryan.

Ronaldo Webster also scored a hat trick to lead St Elizabeth Technical over Newell High 3-0 in Zone E as he stayed hot following his brace against Sydney Pagon two days earlier.

Maggotty High also got back to back wins to stay perfect, edging Sydney Pagon High 1-0 as Munro College came from behind to draw 2-2 at Lacovia, their second straight draw.

Dinthill Technical won their 21 st straight game in Zone K blanking McGrath High 2-0 as Charlemont and Ewarton also stayed perfect with wins over Bog Walk High and Tacius Golding respectively.
