Clarendon College at half time

Frankfield, Clarendon was nicknamed ”burial ground” as Group H giants, Clarendon College, eased past Edwin Allen by three goals to nil in a highly anticipated first-round encounter.

Things got on the way for Clarendon College as their talisman, Lamar Walker, opened the scoring in the 34th minute. He then scored his second, right on the stroke of halftime, to end the half on a high, as Clarendon College went into the interval leading two goals to nil.

The second half was a half of redemption for Edwin Allen as they showed fight and threatened on the attack, creating chances but failing to capitalize.

Clarendon College proved too much for the Frankfield-based Edwin Allen when Rodrick "Yann" Granville made it 3-0 for the boys in blue and gold, securing the win.

The other Group H fixture between Lennon High and Kellits High ended 3-1 in favor of Lennon High. The victors had to come from behind to get the better of Kellits High at the Crofts Hill Community Center.

Upcoming fixtures in Group H will see Lennon High going up against Thompson Town High, while Clarendon College will tackle Kellits High on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 3:30 PM.
