STATHS narrowly edged the contest 1-0.  The defending champions Jamaica College brushed aside Calabar High 3-0, in what was viewed by spectators as a training session for the boys from Old Hope Road.

Meanwhile, over at Stadium East, St Catherine High had to come from behind against Charlie Smith High to secure a 3-1 victory. Renaldo Cephas gave Charlie Smith the 1-0  lead as they got off to a flying start. However, they were pegged back by Jevaughn Cole who equalized for St. Catherine High, John-Christoff Pringle then gave St. Catherine High the lead as they scored twice in three minutes. The game was put to bed by a beautiful solo goal from Jevaughn Cole who grabbed his second of the game as they secured an emphatic 3-1 win away from home in the first leg of the fixture.
The second game of the day at the venue saw St. Georges College clobber Mona High 4-1.
