St. Catherine High glided past Penwood High 4-0 in Manning Cup action today at the Homestead Community Center.

St. Catherine returned to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat over the weekend to Excelsior High. Marcovic Brown scored a hattrick taking his tally to sixteen goals this season as he dominated the Penwood defense.

The highlight of the game was a great freekick from talisman Marcovic Brown who drove it home from 23 yards out which left the Penwood custodian stunned as he was only a spectator during the moment of brilliance.

St. Catherine leads group E ahead of Excelsior High on goal difference as both are on 21 points and have secured qualification to the next round of action.

Other results on the day saw Excelsior edge Haile Selassie 1-0 and St. Mary’s College was held at home 1-1 by Oberlin High.
