JC’s Captain Junior Flemmings shield off Kingston College defender Romar Beckford.Last year Manning Cup beaten finalist Hydel High rebounded from their Walker Cup lost to clip Charlie Smith one nil in their second round encounter at the Constant Spring field yesterday.

Charlie Smith came out the better team but failed to execute as top striker Bebeto McDonald found it difficult to find the back of the net.  Hydel got several clear chances but were denied by the Charlie Smith’s goalkeeper Leon Taylor.  The goal however came in the final stages of the game when Rohnako Allen scored in the 90th minute.

In the other game of the zone Jamaica College and Kingston College came out with strong rivalry. The ever-busy Junior Flemmings dismantled the Kingston College’s defense on several occasions when he took total control of the middle of the park.  Flemmings continued to proved him self when his header in the second half was good enough for the ‘Dark Blues’ to get all three points.
